Medicine Check up
Home›Services›Medicine Check up
Our pharmacist is always available to answer any questions you may have with regard to medication you are taking, or your health in general. If you require a more detailed discussion this can be done via a medicine check-up. This can be requested by yourself or the Pharmacist may recommend that you have one.
A medicine check-up can help you get all your medication aligned. Often when new items are added to your regular medication they run out at different times. Your Pharmacist could help with this so you only need to visit the Pharmacy once in a 28 day period (as much as we enjoy seeing you - this may help you!)
Our Pharmacist will discuss each item of medication with you to make sure you understand how to take it, why you are taking it and to find out if you are experiencing any side-effects. With your permission a copy of the check-up can be sent to your GP.
NEW for November 2011 - The NHS New Medicine Service can help you if you have been newly prescribed a medicine to thin the blood or to treat one of these conditions: asthma / Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), diabetes (Type 2), high blood pressure.
Please ask for more information.
